When something is not quite right with your horse, at times of increased stress or when recovering from illness or injury a course of Pure Plus Detox Supplement will help put your horse back on track. Pure Plus Detox Supplement targets four different aspects of detoxification and support. Firstly, dandelion root as a natural diuretic increases urine production and helps flush toxins from the body. Secondly, the combination of powerful antioxidant Vitamins C and E provide support for muscles, the lungs and the liver. Whilst horses are able to make Vitamin C, studies have shown that when the horses body is under stress the levels in the blood decrease making less available for crucial functions such as immune function, liver function and collagen synthesis. Collagen is the most common protein in the body and is a key component of tendon, ligament, cartilage and bone. Low Vitamin C levels can lead to problems such as poor coat, dry skin, decreased wound healing and increased susceptibility to infection. Vitamin E is essential to help the body fight off viruses and bacteria and is needed for the formation of red blood cells. Vitamin E supplementation is also recommended for liver disease. Many horses that are under the weather, ill or recuperating are stabled and don’t get enough sunlight to enable them to make Vitamin D. Pure Plus Detox Supplement therefore contains the most biologically active form of Vitamin D, D3 or cholecalciferol. Vitamin D is essential for healthy bone development. Pure Plus Detox Supplement also contains MOS (mannan oligosaccharides) from yeast which helps to bind mycotoxins (toxins from fungi present in feed materials) which cause liver damage. Finally, heavy metals such as cadmium, lead and mercury are often present in the environment and are ingested through feed or water or breathed in from the air. Levels within the body accumulate over time and can lead to generalised poor health effects and can be difficult or impossible to diagnose. Pure Plus Detox Supplement contains coriander has been shown in scientific studies to protect the body and help to eliminate heavy metals such as lead by the process of chelation (essentially binding the heavy metals so they can be excreted).
